Fashola Visits Dora Akunyili's Family, Expresses His Сondolences

The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola paid a condolence visit to the family of late Professor Dora Akunyili’s family at their Maitama, Abuja residence on Thursday, June 12, 2014.

Dora Akunyili died of uterine cancer on June 7, 2014 at the age of 59. Despite the illness, she was actively participating in the work of the ongoing National Conference.

Earlier President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice-President Namadi Sambo and the ministers dedicated the entire Federal Executive Council (FEC) session to paying tribute to the former Minister of Information and Communication, Professor Dora Akunyili.



According to the family sources, Former Dora Akunyili, whose remains arrived Nigeria, on June 11, 2014, from Mumbai will be buried on August 28, 2014. The funeral arrangements will be made available to the public in due course.
